Kosher Meals for NDIS Participants
Chef-prepared, kosher certified ready meals delivered to your door. Use your NDIS plan for the preparation and delivery, and we will give you the invoice to claim it.
What is NDIS meal support?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funds supports that help Australians with disability live more independently. For many participants that includes having healthy meals prepared and delivered, so there is less shopping and cooking to manage.
How the funding works
What can be claimed
NDIS meal support is designed to help with the preparation and delivery of meals where it supports your independence and wellbeing.
What you pay
The NDIS covers 70% of the meal price, which goes toward preparation and delivery. You pay the remaining 30%, which covers the ingredients.
How you get it back
We send you an itemised invoice that separates the food cost from preparation and delivery, ready to lodge with the NDIS or your plan manager.
How to order and claim
1. Choose your meals
Browse our Ready Meals range of chicken, beef, fish and vegetarian dishes, all prepared in our KA-certified kosher, HACCP-certified kitchen.
2. Place your order
Order online as normal. Meals are frozen 400g single portions that heat in the microwave, air fryer or oven.
3. Ask for an NDIS invoice
Email orders@lewiskosher.com with your order number and NDIS details and we will send an invoice set out for NDIS claiming.
4. Claim and enjoy
Submit the invoice through the myNDIS portal or to your plan manager. Your meals arrive frozen on our Tuesday and Thursday delivery runs.

NDIS questions
- Does the NDIS pay for meals?
- Yes, when meal preparation and delivery is part of your plan. The NDIS covers 70% of the meal price (preparation and delivery) and you pay 30% (the ingredients). Check with your plan manager about what your plan includes.
- Are your meals kosher?
- Yes. Every meal is made in our KA-certified kosher kitchen in Darlinghurst, which has been cooking for Sydney's Jewish community for over 55 years.
- Can I start with a small order?
- Yes. You can try a handful of meals first and choose the dishes that suit your tastes and dietary needs.
- Do you charge NDIS participants more?
- No. Our meal prices are the same for every customer. The NDIS invoice simply shows which part of the price is food and which part is preparation and delivery.
- How do I apply for the NDIS?
- Visit ndis.gov.au or call the NDIS on 1800 800 110. Once your plan is approved, speak with your plan manager about including meal preparation and delivery.
- I have a My Aged Care package instead. Can I still order?
